Star Wars in 3d? also, 3d from a single 2d image.

I’m fairly certain that I saw this at SIGGRAPH one year, which would make this a few years old. But this is definitely worth revisiting – especially since George Lucas needs more money and has decided to re-re-re-release the Star Wars movies in 3d.

    nice…. simple projection mapping… but it makes me sad i’m not going to siggy this year…….

    No, not just simple projection mapping. All geometry in each model was created automatically from 1 image. Yeah, then it’s basically projection mapping.
