I figured that I might as well link to the Curry Stone Design Prize site. The winner was announced last week at the ideaFestival.

The Curry Stone Design Prize and the Curry Stone Chair in Design were founded by architect Clifford Curry and his wife, H. Delight Stone, as a gift from the Curry Stone Foundation to the University of Kentucky College of Design. Curry is a 1970 alumnus of the UK College of Architecture (now the UK College of Design) and for most of his career, a principal architect for William Colson, recognized as a pioneer in senior housing.

The Curry Stone Design Prize is administered by the University of Kentucky College of Design. It is anticipated that the prize will become a catalyst for a new research area and graduate curriculum at the University of Kentucky focused on the economic and social impact innovative design can have on local and global communities.
