Well?, it’s an Aston Martin Vantage with a V12 engine. So what do you think it’s going to be like?
It is fantastic. It’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
What it makes me feel though, is sad.
I can’t help thinking that thanks to all sorts of things, the environment, the economy, problems in the Middle-East, the relentless war on speed, that cars like this will soon be consigned to the history books.
I just have this horrible, dreadful feeling that what I’m driving here is an ending.

Audi Celebrates its Centenary at 2009 Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Every year since 1997, Lord March has surprised us all with ever more vast and spectacular centrepieces for the Festival of Speed at his home, Goodwood House in West Sussex. For 2009 the latest sculptural ‘monument’ will be unveiled for the start of the three day Festival (3 to 5 July), which is likely to entertain a record number of 130,000 visitors for this year.
The Festival’s work of art is the focus of Audi’s global centenary celebrations – a truly breathtaking 35 metre high automotive ‘monument’. With over 500bhp in a 500kilo package the Atom 500 will boast one of the highest power to weight ratios ever for a production car, ever. At over 1000bhp per tonne the Atom 500 will be the ultimate statement in performance and is destined to be made in a limited edition.
The V8 powered Atom is the first of some exciting developments from Ariel due to be released though 2008 and builds on the growing reputation that the company has for putting the passion back into driving and producing cars that are fun to drive as well as fast both on and off the track.

Aptera Motors has rolled out the first pre-production model of the 2e, an all-electric three-wheeled two-seater that gets the equivalent of 200 mpg and goes 100 miles on a charge. It’s a significant milestone for the Southern California startup, which plans to put the first cars in driveways by Halloween and looks like a contender to win the $10 million Progressive Automotive X Prize.

My first reaction was, “what is this, a HotWheels car?”
It’s really a pity that GAS decided to pour so much effort into a car that makes the Elephant Man look like Brad Pitt because it’s got some amazing engineering under that ugly skin. The twin Magnuson supercharged 5.0-liter engine? Custom built by GAS. The Air Ride Technologies suspension with computer-adjustable ride height? A GAS original. With dual automatically-retracting steering wheels, the Scythe is even configurable for right- and left-hand drive should drivers want to terrify the British or use it to deliver mail.

…the Ralliart version will get the all-wheel-drive system from the Evo IX, the new dual-clutch gearbox and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-banger rated at 235 HP and 253 lb-ft of torque.
