Ever wonder when you last shutdown or rebooted? Here’s how you can find the uptime for your Windows XP machine:

cmd -> systeminfo | find “Up Time”

Once upon an uptime I had a Novell server up for more than 375 days. Today I noticed that my PC has been up for 67.5 days.

VLC media player update.

September 15th, 2008

If you have ever used VLC then head on over to their homepage and get the latest version. They’ve added a ton of features and cleaned it up a bit (it’s a lot more friendly feeling). I think it’s well worth updating: VLC media player

If you’ve never used it, you should. This player will play almost anything without the need for codecs. Also, and maybe more importantly, it can act as a server and client to stream and receive network streams.

This is THE best crossplatform media player. (Win, osX, linux, etc).

Outlook autofill email addresses

This is a tool which I’ve used, forgotten about and had to search to find it again. So, I’m going to document it here in hope to never lose it again…

How can you export the email addresses that Outlook remembers ever though they aren’t in your address book? This information is in the nk2 file. Debunk2 is a tool which gives you the ability to export this email list: http://code.google.com/p/debunk2/.
